Presentation Board

Floor Plan

Elevation

This was the very first project I completed for ID 101, Introduction to Interior Design, a class that focuses more on concepts and overall design rather than the minutiae of Interior Design. Therefore, the product selection for all three ID 101 projects is general rather than specific.

For this project, the client was described as an embassy official and his wife. They are from a West African country, have children who spend the school year in overseas boarding schools, entertain frequently, and have a large staff. They want a living room design that is unique and not the typical eighteenth century "Washington, DC look."

The requirements for this project were:

  • Floor plan with color rendering at ¼" scale
  • One or more elevations at 3/8" scale with color rendering
  • Samples and/or pictures of product selection on a presentation board

At right is the design board I produced for this project. Clicking on the board will take you to a larger interactive version.
