FFor this project, we were told to research design history, select a distinctive era, and then design an interior space, either a living room or a bedroom, that is in keeping with that era. We were given a floor plan for a two story home with a large and rather undefined living room, and an equally large and undefined master suite space. We were also told to keep in mind that the owner/occupants of the home would be an elderly couple. The design style I chose was that created by the Memphis Group, which unveiled its unconventional approach to design at the 1981 Milan furniture fair.
