Sampling of Product Selections

This was a group project for which I was the "team leader." The project involved the design of a prototype, mall-based, mid-priced retail art gallery aimed at consumers age 25 to 40. The gallery would offer numbered prints from original pieces shown in the gallery as well as original pieces from local artists. In addition, framing services would be offered. The finished design needed to include a selling area (85% of the space), a stockroom, manager's office, unisex restroom, and associate's break area (remaining space). We were asked again for a "soft" presentation, as well as the following:

  • Floor plan & reflected ceiling plan (another team member hand drafted both of these, and so are not included here)
  • An isometric view of the display area
  • Elevation view of the storefront
  • Elevation view of the customer service desk
  • Soft presentation of product selections and samples

Notes about the elevation and isometric renderings: I created both elevations using Paint Shop Pro 7, and for the artwork depicted in each, I used photographs I had taken of a student art exhibit at the college. In the elevation of the customer service desk, three of the large paintings shown were created by a team member for art classes she had previously taken. The isometric and the one point perspective renderings were created in 20/20 by another team member, who set up the wire frame structure of the space. I added the textures. Clicking on the images below will take you to larger versions of each image.
